Playbook won't charge

I've found many topics and issues similar to mine, but can't seem to find one with my exact issue - so apologies if this is an issue that has come up before and I just can't find the thread.

 

My playbook recently died completely. This has happened before, and I just left it plugged in for a whole day and it worked again. However, now when I plug it in to either a wall charger or my computer, it doesn't stay connected. It shows the red LED light at first, then disconnects, flashes a yellow LED light and doesn't continue charging. When it's plugged into the computer, when the red LED light comes on, my computer acknowledges a new connected device.  However, about 5 seconds later, it will show the device being disconnected and the yellow LED light flashes.

 

I hope that's enough information, if it's not clear or more information is needed, I'd be happy to provide it.  Essentially, the Playbook is only charging for 5 seconds or so, and then disconnects and therefore does not charge enough to turn on or continue charging.

Hello,
Are you using a PlayBook charger or something else? such as a Samsung Micro-USB charger? BlackBerry Chargers work with the PlayBook but some other brand's charger are not supported e.g. Samsung (SIII)
