Where do I get an app so that I can play netflix on my Playbook. I see conflicting comments about whether there is one available or not and I do not see it in the Blackberry Apps
Netflix is quite adamant that they will not develop an app for the PlayBook.1 Their business model and that of other major develoers is to not put effort into supporting platforms that don't have much market share.
Speculation is that if the Z10 is a success and has market share that eats significantly into Apple and Android space, they might develop an app for the Z10. It might simply end up being an Android port that would not need much tweaking to work on the PlayBook once it gets the BB10 OS.
Thanks for the link. I vaguely recall the referenced tweet and don't recall that anyone at the time thought this completely closed the book on the possibility Netflix would be supported.
That post is from a year ago too... much more recently (last week) BlackBerry confirmed they are in talks with Netflix. It's inconclusive but does at least suggest that the possibility still exists for Netflix support to arrive, some day.
