I get a message as «Array_insert invalid array» when I try to move an icon to the dock/favorite bar. Then I loose the icon altogether. How do I get these icons back?

You have probably lost them. You got a system error probably by exceeding the number of icons allowed.
If they are standard icons like browser or calendar, you need to backup your data using desktop software, Security wipe the Playbook (settings, security, security wipe) , and then follow instructions to set up the playbook from scratch. You will need wifi access.
Then restore media data and app data only, not settings..

I had emptied the favorite bar by inadvertance. When I tried to insert an icon, it gave me the error. Another advisor told me to put ALL the icons in the favorite bar (therefore leaving no visible icon on the screens) and restart tablet.
It worked and all is back to normal. ![]()

So you just ignore the error message, move every icon there so they all seem to be lost, then restart?
