The Playbook keep e-mail as per the setting in the e-mail account under the advance settings but the maximum is 30 days,so any e-mail that are older than this period aresimply removed from the Playbook, but are still on the server.

There doesn't seem to be a way at the moment. Definitely something that I hope makes it to BlackBerry 10, much like saving emails on the current BBs.
