Hi. Does anyone know if and how I can get Skype on my playbook?

I have searched the forums for days and the result I have found is that there is no likeleyhood in the near future of 'skype' on the Playbook. We have video chat which is brilliant, but it is only for Blackberry to blackberry.

There is a workround app called IM+ but that only gives skype calls, there is no video.

I have seen a post of a Microsoft statement that 'skype' may be included as part of the browser. But that may be next year. Other members are far more technical than me and can give more precise information.

  you can make voice calls over skype from that site and theoritically, video calls are available but never worked for me.

If anybody knows about other video chatting facilities like Tango please share with us

Hi Ross. Your reply was very helpful. Thank you. I downloaded IM+ but Skype was not included amongst the options. I may have to wait for them to include it as part of the browser. Cheers
