Hi: I suppose we can wait for developments. Perhaps it is the same problem with qPDF which only works occasionally.
Concerning the compass, mine was crazy. Took it out of the leather case without improvement. Followed 'What's Up's' suggestion to get it to align. But when I flipped the PB over and over a few times it settled down correctly. Just turning it around with the screen facing up didn't work. Being able to orient the screen and sky is very useful to help with identification. One useful ability in Stellarium is the simulation of haze and light pollution, the effect is quite dramatic. I'm not very interested in astronomy, I just want to know what I'm seeing with the naked eye. Probably a sacrilegious comment
