I tried the option TSP provided, but it still gives error while backing up the Application Data. The only backup saved is the very first one on April 19th when I got my Playbook.
I hope an update is forthcoming soon.

Easthunter,
I'm just wondering if you have downloaded a lot of Apps to your playbook? I am begining to think that maybe one of the Apps are corrupted and that those of us that downloaded it can't save. I have downloaded WAAAYYYY too many to narrow it down. But maybe you didn't? I only downloaded free apps... did you download lots of free apps yet? If not... maybe we can figure out if one of these apps are the cause.

Hi TSP001, I have exactly same issue. I'm trying to follow your instructions. How do you uninstall the device manager and the rim network device? Thanks.

Cool,
So we shared 5 apps. They are: Poynt, RocketStorm, Scratchpad, InCenemaNow and Forms2Go.
I am going to delete these reboot and try to back up again and see what happens.
Thanks

Bad News...
That still didn't work! I had high hopes for that theory. I guess the only thing that we can do is hope that RIM fixes this with an update later.
Thanks for helping me give it a shot though.

I was able to backup the playbook last week, but backup for apps does not work anymore.
Last week: Prev OS and fewer apps installed
This week: New OS (1710) and many apps...at least 80...installed
