TOUCH SCREEN NOT WORKING

Please help!  For the past week the touch screen on my BB Playbook is not responding. I have try a forced restart a numerous times with no avail.  I 'unbricked' the playbook to reset it to the factory settings and the screen is still not working. Is this a common problem? Is there any other solution to fix this? My 90 day warranty is up and I would hate to chalk this to a $500.00 loss. Any information would be helpful!

90 days is free phone support. Warranty is typically 1 year depending on your country. If that is up (and as you paid 500 for it I guess it's an early one) it's probably chaeper to buy a new one than a repair. 

However if out of warranty, carefully lever the back off and fiddle with the screen connector.

You have done the hard part. Check everything that looks like a ribbon cable with a plug in the end. Designs have varied in the past.  Check the screen whilst you are doing it. There is a post somewhere on this forum with a picture of the screen connector.  If still no luck then it's busted.

Touchscreen totally frozen, cannot even shut down.  How can I reset?
