Hi,
Last night I placed the Playbook on the base, the light came up as usual when there is a power source plugged into it, and this morning when I woke up the Playbook had only about 20% power left, and it was at 100% when I placed it on the base.
Now it is charging using the phone charger, so be careful all with the base, beside being lacking connections it is also not charging all the time

possible you have dirty contacts, i have to clean mine with an eraser once in a while.

Eraser ?, i thought those contact were going inside the Playbook when it is placed on it
BTW how do you clean them with an eraser

Wow, so your Playbook is completely dead, no charge whatsoever, black screen, no red or colored LED?

no quite there, but it had only about 20% left in it overnight, I am sure that the charger drained it, because when i use it for long period of time it never goes below 50%, and now after about 6hrs it is almost completely drained.
Now I am using my old Bold 9700 charger and it is almost full

that would mean you are using the magnetic charge base?
It has 3 pin connections and they do collect dust unless you cover the charger.
if talking about the USB one, then its not easy to clean the micro USB port.
So you playbook is not dead? title is misleading

I use the base with 3 pins but I always thought that those pins were going inside of the Playbook to make connection to charge
BTW If I had wake up about 1hrs later it would be dead, and I could not have sent this discussion because I would not have the Playbook to connect to this place
