Touchscreen Keyboard no longer working

I just purchased a PB 64GB and I was setting it up. I got it connected to the wi-fi, then got to the BB ID screen, had to have my password reset so I started working on my desktop computer. Then I went back to input the info in the screen, but it won't give me the keyboard view anymore.

 

I keep tapping the area where I need to type, but the cursor just appears in the box and I can't do anything to get the information typed into the box.

 

I've already tried swiping diagonally from bottom left and that didn't work.

 

Please help! I really want to keep this PB.

Press and hold the power buttom on the top edge of the device for 20 seconds and touch restart.

When it reboots, try the password again.

Thanks for the quick reply! How long does it take for the PB to reboot. I've been sitting here for a while and the bubbles screen is still displaying. Am I doing something wrong?

Hummmm...It's still rebooting. Is this normal? I'm now looking through posts about rebooting.

Ok, it was taking too long to get away from that bubble screen, so I just hit power & volume up key to reboot again. It finally worked and I got my touch keyboard back. Thanks so much! I truly appreciate your help.
