Unable to Start Playbook

I got a new playbook yesterday from Best Buy.

Charged it.


With lot of difficulty found the wifi connect. The moment it started, it asked for update to new version of OS. Version 1.0.0.1439. After 279MB of download, it gives an error : Sorry but there was problem updating your tablet. Tap to Retry or Turnoff. I have done both now 10 times, always comes back to same situation. Downloaded the patch 5 times.

 

Please help.

Hi,

 

Sorry to hear that you' ve been having problems!

 

Did you specifically do all this through the desktop manager?  My device locked up after a software upgrade and

it seems to have been resolved when the DM connected via usb and debricked it.

 

Do you have two flashes of the LED?
