Update 2.0.1 1032 - simply frustrating

I updated today.  Contacts are gone, browser keeps crashing.

It shouldn't have these problems guys. Releasing stuff like this is just driving more of us away.

Re: Update 2.0.1 1032 - simply frustrating

The browser did crash a few times in beta 2.1 for me but reporting bugs in beta is not the easiest thing to do for the average Joe.

Having lost contact numbers so many times in other hardware I have always used cloud (wot we used to call the web in the old days) email contacts and synchronised them in Playbook. Did you ever try backing them up and restoring?  You shpuld always test backup process before investing time and energy in buildig iup a database.   BB may be at fault but stuff happens in this tech world so you should always assume data will be lost (or your device will be lost) one day and take precaurions.

This is a known issue with the .1032 upgrade. Your natively stored contacts are gone and cannot be restored.
