You're connected to the USB > PC? You'll be fine.
How long has it been total?

After about five hours press cancel or disconnect and tell us what happens.

Almost 6 hours....I don't see a cancel tab..so when you say disconnect...just unplug the cord from the laptop?

What are the chances the Playbook may not operate and my chances of getting it working again if that is the case?

Forever is 6 hours or more...lol

Jusy disconnect the cord. :smileysad:
Now, see what happens when you try to start the Playbook.

If it appears bricked, don't despair. Reconnect.to the PC > start the Desktop Software and you should be.presented with an update or repair message. If you don't see that message, press the Playbook power button for 20 seconds and you should. Choose update.
Is there any PC you can use for this that has a wired internet connection?

I unplugged it and the Playbook was fine. It did update on it's own, not attached to anything. i'm guessing the Desktop Manager had a glitch.
