Software locked up. Performed security wipe. Reloaded software with newest version. Wifi was always excellent at home and at work. That was using the previous versions of software. Now I cannot see a Wifi network in either location unless I am standing beside the router. There are different brand routers in each location. Other devices in each location have full signal wifi. Is there a workaround or is there an update coming? Failing that is there a means to reload the previous version of software? Thanks in advance for your help.

Since you have tested with multiple Wi-Fi networks and routers I would suggest backing up and doing a clean reload of the BlackBerry device software as shown here: http://btsc.webapps.blackberry.com/btsc/KB11320. Please test before restoring any data to the device.
If this resolves the issue do a selective restore of essential data (Address Book, Calendar, Task, Memos, BBM contacts etc.)
