I am very excited to see the Video Store included with the OS 2.0 update. As someone who prefers to watch movies and TV on a mobile platform, this is a very welcome enhancement.
I am also frustrated with my inability to transfer DRM-protected content from my MacBook to any non-"i-Devices". I understand the reasons for the copy protection; I just wish that Apple would allow more freedom on my own devices.
That said, I am curious what users' experiences are with the new Video Store on Playbook. In the event that I purchase TV or movie content on my Playbook, can it be transferred to my other devices (e.g. MacBook), or is viewing limited to the Playbook only? Are purchases stored so that they can be streamed from other devices? Are there other limitations other than the depth of the content library?

the first movie i downloaded i rented....it worked fine and i was excited about this myself....then i downloaded a tv episode...it too worked great. Then things went downhill. I tryed multiple times, paying each time, to download additional tv episodes and they showed up in the download section with status of "pending download" but would never download. as soon as i closed the app, and reopened it, the were completely gone from the download section and as though i never tried to download in the first place. customer support refunded me but never said anything about the problem, so i emailed them again and asked how it could be fixed....couple weeks ago, no answer! disapointed, why can't this **bleep** just work like apple products! I downloaded the Evernote app too, it works like complete **bleep** since the new OS upgrade with the text recognition auto correct software, which apparently was too "sophisticated" for this simple little app and now it doesn't work at its most basic level, text entry!

Have you had any success in transferring your downloaded videos to other devices - your PC, for example?

its really easy and simple if you use DVD Catalyst 4....it has an option for the BB PB and then it automatically converts to the format needed. worked like a Charm. I just downloaded another movie from the movie store, it worked fine, i tried the tv episode again and it still wont work (walking dead season two episode two and three for sure won't work), so must be just this one series has issues. when it works like its supposed to its not bad at all, rented three movies so far and they worked good.

Wow you guys are lucky. Because I live in Canada (kinda funny being that RIM is Canadian), I cant access the video store. This is a HUGE downfall for the playbook. As much as I like this thing, I can see why it wasnt selling when it was priced the same as Ipad.
