blackberry playbook

I realise that the blackberry playbook supports kobo for reading apps etc.,  Can I download onto my playbook tablet an e-book from the general library such as James Patterson (instead of going to the general library and loaning out the book version .  If so how does one do it...very much a beginner in such matters.

Re: blackberry playbook

Hello tuppymob and welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.

Thanks for your question on downloading eBooks to your BlackBerry PlayBook tablet.

Launch Kobo on your tablet and search the store for your desired book. If you have entered your payment credentials you can purchase the book and download it to your tablet. If you haven't set up payment details you will be prompted to do so.

Hope this answers your question!

You saying the playbook Kobo app allows loans from public libraries, which is what the op was asking?

Probably need Overdrive Media Console and search for your library from the globsl list.

Re: blackberry playbook

Yes you need to download the Overdrive app from Blackberry World, and follow the instructions on the Overdrive website to connect to your public library.
