blank message screen on playbook after update to os 2.1.0.1032

After update to 2.10.1032, my imap (yahoo) account still works fine, but I have the following problem with pop account (it worked also without problems before the update):

 

I see only the message list, but no content of the message (blank screen, no icons for reply, forward, delete, ..)

Sometimes there is the message (but not always): "An unexpected problem occurred with (email-address). Some features may not be functioning properly".

When I delete and recreate the pop account (after reboot), there is no download of te messages of the previous 7 days (as set up bij recreating the account), but only new messages appear in the list (with blank message screen).

 

I tried the following, but without success:

 

- delete account, reboot, recreate account

- factory "debrick" (as explained bij Knotty Rope in another post)

 

But problem is still the same.

Any help appreciated.

addendum:

 

to clarify things further:

 

- imap account is yahoo mail account

- pop account is mail account from internet service provider (scarlet)

 

with pop account I can send messages and I can see the content of these sent messages (sent items).

but I can't see content of messages that I receive (inbox).
