can playbook be off line?

i just wonder it is possible that the playbook would be off net like the phone ?

if so it will be awesome

It sounds like you're asking if you could use the cellular network to get a data connection, "like the phone".

If that's what you mean, the answer is yes, it will be possible with PlayBooks that will be released in future... currently promised for the fall. Search for "PlayBook 4G" to learn more.

You can also already, with the current WiFi-only PlayBook, tether to any phone that supports that, but of course that's not using the PlayBook stand-alone.

There are some apps that cache the data so you can still access the information while not connected to wi-fi.

Examples: national post app and blackberry news app (although news app only gives 1 sentence, and does not make the news available offline)

There are many apps you can use when offline as long as they don't require a data connection to work.
