Re: cannot find wifi network - skip the connection

Are you telling me that it has been reset and until I don't do the first configuration of the playbook I can't use it? Thanks

Re: cannot find wifi network - skip the connection

You got it. You have to start back at the beginning, BlackBerry ID, Password, WiFi setup, the whole startup process. .

Re: cannot find wifi network - skip the connection

No. You have to set it up by wifi initially. Will not work otherwise. Did you buy this PlayBook?

Re: cannot find wifi network - skip the connection

well, it's not mine, a friend (who bought it from another person who probably had treated the playbook in a vary bad manner) gave it to me because of this problem, i didn't know that he also reset it. Do you know where I can find this wl1283 chip? Thanks

Re: cannot find wifi network - skip the connection

I doubt if there is anything wrong with the chip. If the PlayBook has been lifted(if you get my drift) it likely will not download an OS.

I'm pretty sure it's the chip, it's the only logical reason... Thanks for your help
