charging on USB on 2.1.0.840

It seems 2.1.0.840 has a new warning message "Unable to charge battery using connected source"  if the USB is connected to PC USB port.

Fair enough.

But I have been running a photo sync with 9000 photos from Iphoto, and in the two hours it has been running the charge went up from 65% to 100%, yet the warning is still displayed.

Is it because I have a Macbook?  USB still reads 500mA in the info.

Possibly not enough power thru the usb port. I've heard Cellphone chargers and usb ports aren't enough.

I'm running the same os and haven't seen that message "yet".

There must be enough power as it charged it up to 100%. Mac's system info shows demand 500mA, supply 500mA.

To follow on, I dismissed the message, went to bed, woke up this morning and it's still sync'ing the 9000 photos (1000 to go after 10 hours) and on waking up the PB the battery icon was even showing the 2-pin plug icon, on Macbook's USB port!  The icon has since disappeared, but still 100% charged.  wifi on all night too.

Note to self, don't ty to sync 9000 photos again. It was stuck at 8000 and I had yt cancel.
