Yes, I know this has been asked countless times before, but there has not been a satosfactory answer.

I have a PB.  My wife has an ipad.  I am going away in 5 weeks and want to be able to video chat with my wife and daugher.  However, as far as I can see there is NO WAY of communicting with video between the two!  There are no apps to put on the PB that is compatible with ipad, and the likes of reelportal dont work because ipad doesnt support flash!

HELP!

Yea, not a great solution. Does she have a PC at home where she can use ReelPortal?

Unfortunately no.

This REALLY is bugging me now - I find the playbook great in all other departments, but the complete lack of cross platform commuinicaiton is driving me up the wall.  In fact, I hav e ahd my PB for a week now and I am seriously considering selling my PB and investing in an android or even another ipad.

Desperate times call for desperate measures.

But please, does anyone have any ideas on how I can video chat from playbook to ipad?

Can't the same be applied to the iPad?

Why don't they have Flash and why aren't you raising cane in the Apple forums that they have nothing compatible?

Sell your iPad and get another PlayBook!

There are two versions of Reel Portal, one is the private and other is public. I had issues using the private chat one, but I can use it to chat with some iPad users (if I use the Public chat one)

Why would itunes place an app on there that doesn't work?

firstly, thanks for the response.

Secondly, I dont  post in the ipad forum because I'm trying to find a solution to my blackberry.  There are plenty of apps that can be used for cross platform video chat for the ipad, android etc - its the lack of ones for the PB I'm concerned about.  If I had andorid or ipad, it wouldnt be a problem.  get my drift?  Its the lack of options that makes it frustrating.  That's why i'm not considering selling the ipad.  I want a solution to the Playbook.

When we last tried the ipad (albeit online), it wouldnt show video.  When I checked this out online as to why, the results showed it being due to flash not workable on the ipad.  I will of course revisit this.

Now, are there any other options in case I still have problems with reelportal?  And it would be nice to have an app for the PB that would notify me if I had a missed call etc (such as what Skype and similar apps do).
