desktop software

i am running windows 8and hove downloaded desktopsoftware to connect my playbook but the software can ot commu icate with my device regardless ofwhat i do.  ihave also disabled my security software without any success. Can anyone help?

Win8 being new is having problems with the Desktop Manager. I am sure that an update will be released soon for DM that will fix the problem.

delete the RIM drivers on the pc I question. Connect the playbook and reinstall the drivers. hope this helps
