There's no way to do that on the Playbook right now.  Hopefully, RIM will fix that in an update.

If this is included in an update I have another minor suggestion which relates to this one:

When you switch from thumbnail shortcuts to the list format it would be nice if it stayed that way the next time you open your browser.

Also the ability to rearrange bookmarks would be nice.

Looks like this is STILL not doable in 2013.  Don't know why the "pencil" editing icon appears in the top right when you cannot edit the name of a tile.
