initial setup wont pass update

Hi !  just came back from store with the device. did all the registration part whent fine up to the firmwhare update part. doesnt do anything after a few minute goes to lost internet connection.  as im writhing this it just came back to the download page with 20+ hour to go !   whats wrong ?   thanks

20+ hours? That must be a slow WiFi connection!

 

Seriously, let it sit a while and see if the 20 hours reduces to something more realistic.

What size does it say the update is?

it keeps disconecting ,  the download size is 489mb and  i have a 18mb internet speed connection

Yep, you must be getting the full update.

 

I don't know why it's so slow, shouldn't be unless you have a problem on your WiFi.

Not good!

 

Can you reset your router (just unplug the power cable to the router and the incoming DSL or ethernet cable, both for about a minute), connect them to the router again and allow the router to reboot.

 

Once complete, connect the PlayBook again and see if it stays connected.
