is it legitimate to sideload free apks ?

" sorry, my English is weak "

Hello, shortly speaking as the title say. "  Free apps only "

for example, I want to sideload "kingsoft office" but first I want to be sure if this in any way is someform of piracy.

I mean for non-developing issues is it legal to do so, or that may conflict with some third party rights'.

I'm Muslim. And Muslims are  forbidden to take any thing that is not rightfully belong to them.

"if u wonder way asking all this"

Assuming it's okay with RIM, should I contact the developer every time I want to sideload new app, or just go ahead, for the free apps.

the app it self should have a about or help section stating it is free for use

Re: is it legitimate to sideload free apks ?

Sorry, but I have to be sure, does that "statement of free usage" make the app vulnerable to be changed from apk to bar and sideloaded?
I'm asking because If this is the case then why not the developer just simply sign it up for the app world?

In my opinion only if the developer agrees

Re: is it legitimate to sideload free apks ?

Whether an app is free or not has nothing to do with it. Copyright law applies, whether you pay for it or not. Sideloading is technically illegal unless you have permission from the copyright holder.

I think is like the mp3, it's different the personal use from the purchase

Are you suggesting goodereader.com is an illegal sharing site?
