Yes. Using the Kindle Cloud Reader, you will have an experience almost identical to using an actual Kindle.
I am using this and it's great... can purchase/get free books, and check out digital kindle books from my local library as well, and send that to my Kindle Cloud Reader.
Go to https://read.amazon.com and hold the PlayBook in portrait (tall) fashion) as you start. It does not work well in landscape (wide) format.

Could you give me some step by steps for doing this? I'd really like to be able to purchase ebooks from Amazon. Thanks!

You can now load the android Kindle app to your Playbook. It works even better,

Trying to do the same thing. It responds: "Your web browser isn't supported yet. Download a browser below."
I tried Chrome 20+ and Firefox 10+. Neither will download..they both say "Retry Download".
Ideas?
Thanks,
Jack
