My Carrier: verizon

my playbook settings wont open

my playbook froze and wouldnt restart so i did all the tips from reset and charging it. i finally got it to start back up but now when i try to go to settings or file manager it just gives me a dark screen. also the keyboard wont come up on anything. any ideas?

I'd try restarting it again, hold down the power button for 20 seconds.

ive tried that and i have the same outcome. ive also noticed that it wont bring up the screen anymore where you can choose to restart and shutdown.

Will desktop manager recognize it? If so, back it up without the applications (you can get those back in app world) and then select update and it will reload/repair your OS, OR do the hard reset of power button, and both up and down volume buttons at the same time. hold down for about 5 or 10 seconds
