not charging

last wednesday i noticed my pb at 22% charge and so set it up to charge(wall mount). when i came back after 10 mins it was still at 22%. i didn't know wat the prob was. it gradually came down to 0% with use and worked for about 1/2 hr before turning of. i charged it again......after some time it came on and said 0% charge. i left it for 6hrs...still no response. the pb shows the bolt symbol for charging...but the charge doesn't seem to be going in. plsss help me....the battery is pretty new

Re: not charging

LEAVE it connected to the wall outlet charger (not the USB > PC charger).
Leave it connected for 24 hours... every 3-5 hours, press and hold the power button only for about 20 seconds. Eventually it will boot on up, but first must reach a certain charge level.
You will see the blinking red and perhaps yellowish LED light, and perhaps a symbol on screen of "no battery". That means the battery is drained, but it must reach a certain charge before powering on.

Re: not charging

That's good. touch the battery icon > STANDBY and let it charge charge charge.

It might take 3-5 hours to reach even 10% charge. Be patient.

Re: not charging

First check the micro slot on playbook an make sure the flat black piece in the middle is not bent. There has been a lot of decals for this issue the wall charger and make sure you are not putting it in upside down. The two stripes of metal on the connector face down.Plug in and you will notice the red light came on for 8 seconds. Unfortunately the 8 seconds the light came on for is how long it just charged for. Your battery is so dead it can't charge itself. You must do a stack charge. Unplug and replug 20 times, each time assuring you get the 8 second charge.  On the 20th or so time leave pluged in and wait a minute or 2 and hopefully you will see a pulsing green light. If you do leave plugged to in for a few houres and let it charge itself. The key to get this to work is make sure the SD slot on playbook is not bent. Mine was bent , so when I plugged it in it would not go in all the way and would not charge. Good luck...
