Even with the new BlackBerry PlayBook OS, our PlayBook is still losing wifi (wireless) connection. In addition, when we try to reconnect, the PlayBook cannot find the wifi network that it has just lost (even though it is still available and working for all of our other devices ... including BlackBerry Torch & Bold). There appears to be a firmware or OS issue with the PlayBook ... as the wifi connection automatically restores if I reset my wireless router. I don't like resetting my wireless router all the time, so it is a reasonable work-around, but certainly not a solution to the problem.
I thought I would give my 2 cents worth here. I have a playbook and i was frustrated with the connection also. I figured it out. Tell me if this works for you. When you lose connection, look where your left hand is. If my hand is holding the top left of the playbook I lose connection every time.
