Davidbaldwin.
Correction: Rogers / Yahoo are not the same company.
Rogers is a Canadian Company whilst Yahoo is USA.
Rogers licensed Yahoo email from Yahoo much like Sympatico licensed Hotmail/Windows Live Mail from MSN.w

Yes I stand corrected, no argument there.
From Wikipedia: In 2004, Rogers partnered with Yahoo! to offer Rogers Yahoo! Hi-Speed Internet to its members.
As of January 2012[update], Rogers Mail accounts continue to be provided by Yahoo!
My under-researched point was it's like they're the same because Yahoo Mail to a Rogers BlackBerry is actually faster than Yahoo Mail to a Yahoo.com account. Yes, it's on the BB before it's showing up at Yahoo.com. Neat trick.

Hi,
I'd like to report my findings on the wifi connection issue.
Situation was: frequent and full breakdown of data rate, turning wifi on/off giving only a short time remedy.
I then turned off WMM in my router, and the problem was solved. Router is currently running in mixed n/g mode (n/a for the 5 GHz band).
BTW, the issue was also solved by turning off wireless-n, but that's something I would not do for just the PB broken firmware.) It also seemed to get better if the PB was forced on the 5 GHz band, but I did not go further into this.
Now for the first time I can somewhat have a proper experience of the browser... still having trouble with the thing diving into links only on the second keypress, but that's minor.
Setup: PB OS 2.0.0.7971
Router: Netgear WNDAP 350 (the "pro" stuff) with WPA2-PSK security.
Regards, MM

What worked for me:
Delete the saved connection. Restart. Use WPS, luckyly my router has this feature. Got connected.
But I spent almost an hour deciding to continue trying or just throw my PB to the garbish. I hope RIM works this out, my old 9300 connects to almost anything and never had a trouble with wifi.
Hope this helps someone!

So to repeat my findings,
for me it helped to play with the "Wi-Fi Multimedia" (WMM) settings of my access point.
Currently, I have configured WMM "on" and WMM-Powersave "off". Both set "on" gave the problems mentioned, this one is fine for me.
If your router / access point does not support such a setting, there is nothing I can help you :-(
Best regards, MM.

If the router is using wep (which it might) when connecting, click on advanced and change connection mode from wpa2 to wep then enter password
