"messages"

When I go to messages I get    'unable to open a PIM session."       This is followed by      (object Message Manager) .(SERVICE ERROR40

How do I get to messages?

Is this using Bridge or the native messaging function?

This sounds like a Bridge issue associated with your Profile.

 

To Fix, please try deleting your current Bridge Profile

 

  1. Swipe from top bezel, enter Bluetooth
  2. Paired Devices - tap pen
  3. Delete your BlackBerry Smartphone profile

Pair your phone again.

 

Hope this fixes the error for you.

Options > Accounts.

Delete that messages account and restart the Playbook. (touch the battery icon > restart)

After restart, set up the email again.
