Delete the current Wi-Fi connection and reboot your PlayBook:
From the BlackBerry® PlayBook™ home screen, select the Settings icon.
Once the network is deleted, reconnect to the Wi-Fi network and monitor the connection duration.
Let me know how you make out.

I have been noticing some what similar issue.
After some time , even after restaring PB , the wifi conneciton does not go through. Fails at aquiring IP address stage.
The only way , I can get it to work is by rebooting hte router.
Also the Browser seem to be slow . Despite the claims that it is better thatn IPad. You tube as an app runs fine but simple browsing tkaes forever ....
Any hints will be appreciated.
I am using ATT wirelss Router with 6 GB bandwidth. I have no issues with Laptops or Desktop or even Logitec Revue. But PB connection really sucks ....

I did update did not help .... after one day of idling , the wifi gets disabled . period.
Is it possible that my sample is defective ? Just a thought. I bought it in May 2011. Am I on my own ?
