My playbook updated fine, was working fine. After about 20 minutes the wifi stopped working and it no longer had my saved wifi networks. It continiued to search for wifi signals but never found any. When I tried to manually connect it still never found the signal.
I rebooted my PB many times with no changes so I did a security wipe. Now my PB is stuck on the connect to wifi page of the setup. It shows no wifi signals to choose from and if I try to manually connect it continually tries to find the signal and cancel does not work so I have to reboot.
I have tried twice now to fix it using the desktop software but it still just boots to the select wifi page. I have no idea what my next step should be to get my playbook running again.

My friend's playbook had same issue yesterday (before 2.0 update). Was hoping 2.0 would solve it but no luck. Wondering if anyone has similar issues - have their been any significant returns of playbooks where wifi is "broken"?

I had the same issue when I tried to update to the new OS. I ended up having to restore everything to original factory specs (after saving what I needed to onto my computer). After I re-installed OS 2.0, it worked fine.
To restore to factory settings, go to Settings => Security => Security Wipe. Remember to save any photos or important stuff before wiping everything out.
Hope this helps.

We had to send back to rim for replacement. It's an issue with the internal antenna. Going through their tech support is a bit of a nightmare though. If you call in, make sure you have a few wifi options as they'llask you to do a bunch of tests (including trying multiple wifi connections and wiping your pb while they walk you through it even if you have wiped multiple times).

same issue. MAC address just missing , and during security wipe stuck in setup screen
I wonder what support number you call and have it returned to RIM ?
