2 Questions

1 - can you export a policy with BESX? I see you can from the full BES as documented here: http://btsc.webapps.blackberry.com/btsc/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=KB17422 but I know sometimes features are not available in Express. I wanted to export the policies from my BESX 5.0.2 and import them into the new BESX 5.0.3. 2 - Are there any issues with running Win 2008 R2 as the BESX OS? We are running Exchange 2003, and I know you cannot install any of the Exchange 2003 admin tools under 2008 R2.....will this be an issue? Thanks.

Re: 2 Questions

I do have CDO 1.2.1 installed...is that all I need? I will try the policy export from one and see if I can import into the other.

you need CDO, permission assigned to the BESAdmin service account (can use the current one with out issue) and then run the installer.

Re: 2 Questions

Ok, so I exported the policy fine. It's really not that different from the default, so I just opened it in notepad and mirrored the settings manually in the new server.
