I am creating a new post, that hopefully ends my frustration I also tried all suggestions I have found (not only) on this forum.
I have encountered a weird behavior of BlackBerry Enterprise Server Express for Microsoft Exchange (5.0.4).
Apparently it works fine, except that I cannot run the management console. Even the BlackBerry Administration Service - Application Server keeps stopping. I try to run it and after a minute or so, stops. I have looked for the log file for it, but none was created. I also tried to reinstall java (.31 version) and later the whole BlackBerry on the server. Changin registry didn't help either.
Is there someone who could help me to fix it, or point to the right direction?
I really do appreciate any help in advance.

have you tried to reinstall BAS?

Well, I have run the setup of the 5.0.4 package and it did some checks, uninstalled the product and installed it again.
Should I remove it completely from Program and Features then install it again? If so, will it keep my settings and DB?
Thank you for the reply... I do appreciate it.

yes you can uninstall BES and the SQL part will not be removed which holds all device info and CAL info in it

I would like to inform you that the complete reinstall worked as a charm. I have a suspicion that the system is a little slower than it used to be, but I can live with that...
BTW, can you tell me why it happened? What have I done wrong that it stopped working? I am quite curious and also I would like to avoid the hassle in the future.
Once again - thank you for your help!
