I am running BES Express 5.0.2 on a Windows 2008 R2 server with MS Exchange 2010 and everything was working fine. I recently installed the BES502MR1 update and now I the admin console will not open. I have reinstalled Express 5.0.2 without the 502mr1 update and my problem remains.
The message I get is HTTP Error 404.0 - not found
error code 0x80070002
requested url - https://server name.domain name:3443/webconsole/login
physical path - C:\inetpub\wwwroot\webconsole\login

Has anyone had this problem? YES
What errors do you have in your BAS AS logs?
Java been updated? Dont update it, it is not needed but check the following
http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB14697
Also modify this key, it seems to get the wrong value during an upgrade for some.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Servic
-Xmx1024m
by
-Xmx768m

Did you do any of the above?

I did not see any errors in the logs and I did the other two suggestions with no luck.

have you tried to use IP address instead of FQDN?

Yes I tried that also. Im thinking my issue is in IIS but Im not sure how the setting should look when it's configured correctly. Is there any documentation anywhere showing how to setup the IIS piece?

Hi,
First, make sure you don't have following Microsoft hot fixes
Hotfix for MS10-021 related to Microsoft KB979683
Hotfix for MS10-047 related to Microsoft KB981852
Hotfix for MS11-011 related to Microsoft KB2393802
Second, hope you haven't updated Java
Third, please post the error message found on the following folder
X:\Program Files\Research In Motion\BlackBerry Enterprise Server\BAS\jboss\ejb\bin
File name is BAS-AS_err.txt (or .log)
Let us know if you are seeing an error message in there.
