BES Express Install does not prompt for Exchange Server Information\MDS list empty

Good Morning-

I'm working on installing BES express on a Windows 2003 R2 Server with SQL 2005 server.  Exchange 2007 is on a separate server.

There is no prompt for the Exchange MAPI information.  I was under the impression that it's not necessary to install CDO.  If I'm wrong, how do I determine what version to install?

Do I have to uninstall and reload for this to work properly?

Next problem:  The MDS dialog has a blank list of servers.

Your help is greatly appreciated.

Re: BES Express Install does not prompt for Exchange Server Information\MDS list empty

Yes you need CDO MAPI for BES. excahgne 2010 can use EWS, but if on an older version exchange then CDO 1.2.1 is a must.

CDO 1.2.1 from here

Then run BES setup again.

Re: BES Express Install does not prompt for Exchange Server Information\MDS list empty

The problem is worse than I thought.  BESX disabled Sharepoint 3.0.   I'm installing on a separate server so as not to cause any more damage.  (After deinstalling BES, Sharepoint came right back on after a reboot).
