BES Express and its connection with simulator (across domains)

[ Edited ]

Hello

I have BESexpress on DOMAINONE

VMWARE on DOMAIN TWO with OUTLOOK account setup for the user on DOMAINONE on BES

I have simuator connected to BES via usual procedure

http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/Testing-and-Deployment/Connect-the-BlackBerry-Device-Simulato...

Device manager recognizes outlook profile and user is loaded on BES express with <Personal Content Removed> - usual one

PIN is the only thing that BES recognizes, no carrier, no model type (shoud this be with simulator?)

Device manager on VMWARE is stating bypass server address corrected however:

Problem:

Device statisctics are sent, received always 0

State is: Connecting 0 ms

I never get managed to communicate with BES eventhough BES recognizes its PIN

please help as we have bussines app going on to test regards the push deployment to various device and can not afford to have all the devices physical, so need to get this working over simulators.

thanks a lot

Peter

Re: BES Express and its connection with simulator (across domains)

OK, domains actually do not matter,

according to instruction

http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/Testing-and-Deployment/Connect-the-BlackBerry-Device-Simulato...

 I am missing one step:

  • On the Initial Plug-in: Verifying Applications dialog box, click Cancel.

i dot not have it there, I have only switch the device, no Initial Plugin...

also I am activating this way:

I activate wireless physical blackberry device so its connected to the server

then, the same email account i setup on VMware and switch this email account with simulator

so there is never actual physical connection (USB cable) with physical device

is this problem?

thanks

Re: BES Express and its connection with simulator (across domains)

might have to enable serial bypass, been a few years since I tried it.

many give up and buy a device

I will give many kudos if you get it working though

Re: BES Express and its connection with simulator (across domains)

where to enable serial bypass... I mean I have connected to serial bypass, with correct domain of BB server,

but Ping is 0ms, all data received send are 0, I tried to go through the logs of BES, nothing special I could find

BES can find simulator with PIN: 2100000A , but thats it, no device info, model, etc...

and device statistics and desktop manager are 0....

shall I open some another port or some channel..

unfortunately I can not buy all teh devices through OS4,5,6,7, with touch diplay, without ... :smileyfrustrated::No:
