Hello to everybody.
I faced with problem while setting up my BES Express. The problem is in following:
I want to setup own BESx in My organization only for usage inside the company. I Have Windows server 2008 R2, Exchange Server 2007 and BES Express 5.0.3 installed and set up on one machine.
I added users and tried to activate them via local WiFi.
While activating everything goes fine:
Contacting server...
Verifying Encryption...
Getting services...
Your email, myemail@company.com, is enabled.
But then I should wait for hours and it shows that Activating is in progress but nothing changes. I see that service books are added (Desktop). Also I didn't receive any ETP.DAT file while activation to this account.
Also I'm not sure that it's possible to activate with such a method for local organization. My devices are not in any Data plan.
Please, if anybody's familiar with this problem, give me an advice.
Thanks in advance.

is only wifi on?
etp.dat is processed by BES, did you check your exchange SMTP logs?

Thanks for Your answer.
Yes, I use wifi only on my device.
I'll check it.
Also I can send and receive emails inside my exchange's users.
Should I configure my SMTP for sending / receiving emails from Internet or it's enough that I can do it inside my domain?

I checked everything and found out following:
I see in SMTP logs that packet is sending to device's user, but I can't see any email with ETP.DAT file. Also in Admin panel count of Packets in Pending is increasing. Then I got email from "RIM_bca28a80-e9c0-11d1-87fe-00600811c6a2" and message "This message is used to carry data between the BlackBerry handheld and an associated server. Please do not delete, move or respond to this message - it will be processed by the server.".
I don't really understand the problem. May be .DAT attachment is blocked.
Could You help me?

How can I check permissions?
Do I need to have SMTP configured to receive emails from Internet (e.g. from gmail, yahoo)? Now it's not configured.
Thanks a lot for Your time.

Thanks for these links and help.
It helped me to go through this step. Now I have the following:
IEMSTest says about only one error: "EWS calendar find request... failed".
Also I try to activate my device and it goes till slow Synchronization and it freezes with 0%, and only Calendar has status Complete.
May be You can know the reason!?
Thanks in advance.
