We are trying to install Blackberry Enterprise Server Express on our MS SBS2008 server. Exchange 2007 and SQL server Express 2008 are installed on this machine as well. When the installation arrives to where the database must be selected (Database information), the option "Local" is grayed out and only "Remote" is available. We need to run everything of from one server though, so remote is not an option for us.
The database has been created using createdb.exe. When we type the database name and authentication in the setup screen, we get the following message:
How can we instruct the install program to ungray the Local option and have the database locally installed?
Any help is greatly appreciated.

is this a new install ?
Looks like maybe the database existed before or your SQL permissions are not correct.
If a new install you can remove the database with SSMS and use create DB again

It is brand new install and no BES(express) was ever installed before on this server (we are first-time users of BES). Prior before the installation of BESexpress, we ran createdb.exe to create the BESmgmt database. There hasn't been a previous copy of this database. I would not think that removing the just created db and re-create it, would make any difference.
Prior to the start of the installation procedure, the installer mentioned that SQL 2005 was going to be installed. As we run SQL 2008 on our machine, we did not choose for this option. Would this have made a difference? If so, can we rectify this? (we are not terribly excited installing SQL 2005 next to SQL 2008 though).

Apparently specifying a non-existing database did the trick. The installer itself recreated the database. We tried that initially, and I have no clue why it did not work at that time, but now it worked. (we did not use createdb anymore)
Thanks for your response.
