Hello,
In preparation of a Mobile Fusion installation, I updated my 5.0.1 to 5.0.2 then to 5.0.4.... and somewhere along the line I lost AD access. My gracious predecessor did not have any records on what the BAS user/up was, so that presented a problem also. I used 4.x BES versions a lot, but the new GUI for 5.x definitely is not what I was use to, and now that I cannot log onto it to admin or add users, its become quite the issue.
I have this server at a VM and perform 2 complete backups a day on it.
Heres the $64thousand dollar question....
Can I turn off this BESX VM, then start up a RESTORED backup VM and not affect my users; hoping they wont get double message from the last 3 days from when the original complete back up was from.
If so, then this would be my solution.
I spent the last 3 days trying everyway to gain access to the BAS and thru AD, and its completed borked, tried 20 different fixes, and reviewed the BAS_AS logs without finding any errors, so something went horribly wrong during updates. I of coursed used the proper BesAdmin account during install.
Anyone know if this is possible and not going to affect my users?
Thanks
G

Thanks Knotty Rope, worked and tested without issues.
Back to square one and to review patch installation process...maybe I'll stop at 5.0.2 this time

Maybe you should just apply SP3, SP4 was released a short while ago but there are some good things in it
whats new in SP4
