I have a BB device that has some orphaned messages on it. I think the original  messages were either deleted or moved to a personal folder in outlook. I have run the reconcile option but it has not tidied the messages up. Is there a  way to force the reconciliation of these messages.

I have now enabled the "hard delete reconcile" option

Hi and Welcome to the Forums!

With hard deletes on, new messages that are moved in Outlook (e.g., never reside in Deleted Items) should now reconcile to the BB. But, old orphaned messages will remain so, I think.

Plus -- to my recollection, you are the first to report being able to enable hard deletes in BPS! For the benefit of others, could you post how you accomplished that?

  Edit server properties

    Mesaging

      Messaging options

        Hard delete reconcilliation = True
