Is remove/readd a BES user a valid resolution when a user device will not activate?
Running BES server 5.0 which seems to work fine after first activation/reactivation.
At time tech requests a remove/readd the user.
How does that help?

I hardly ever remove a user on my BES but you could have a permissions issue, activation email not staing in mailbox or even user with dekstop manager installed in wrong mode.

Thank you for the info.
would those items to be checked be done by the onsite tech with the device in their hand or I can see them on my BES console?
just installed BES 5.0 so still looking the available info on it.
Its not fun trying to troubleshoot a BES device when I don't have it in front of me. The techs always request a remove/readd!! I think that is a waste of time.

next time look at the logs and add use to a static agent so you might be able to know what is happeneing.
default location :\Program Files\Research In Motion\BlackBerryEnterprise Server\Logs
Also look in event veiwer to seef if any errors or warnings pertain to your issue
Please post back the log info minus personal info
to isolate an affected user on a static messaging agent , then look for the MAGT log for that agent (while trying to send/receive messages). The format you'll be looking for is:
Where the first pair of digits are the Agent ID you set.

I hardly ever delete a user, 99% of the time it is not needed.
