Hi, I have been trying to get a new install of BES 5.0.4 installed on my Win 2k8 server for the last few days. I keep getting to the same spot on the install and it won't go any further, the Preinstallation checklist. I keep getting an error "Unable to find Collaboration Data Objects Library (DCO.dll)." and "Microsoft Exchange Server detected (MAPI version 1.0.2536)"
I have tried everything I can think of to resolve this issue. I removed the components of the BES install that were installed to that point (through add remove programs), then installed Microsoft Office 2k7 (the outlook components and shared components only), then installed the latest CDO (1.2.1) and then uninstalled Office 2k7. Then tried installing the BES again. I just got to the same point.
If I hit the next button anyways I get an error "the setup application cannot find the required MAPI libraries installed on this computer. For more information about the MAPI libraries that the Blackberry Enterprise Server requires, see the documentation for the Blackberry Enterprise Server. Current MAPI version: 1.0.2536"
I thought the version it needed was 1.0.2536 and according to the error is says that is what is installed. So obviously it can see it. So why is it crapping out and telling me in a different area that it can't?? How can I fix this issue?

if nothing else installed, wipe the server and start over as outlook being instaleld can be a pain to remove
then do this prior to install and dont install outlook ever on BES
