I am new to this, so forgive me asking a silly question. Anyway, the environment is Exchange 2007 [08.00.0685.018] running on Windows Server 2003 R2 Standard x64 Edition [Build 3790: Service Pack 2]. Blackberry Professional Software [4.1.4.17] set up as a push server and sited on same server. I am using Exchange account in Outlook 2007 [12.0.4518.1014] which is also on same server. Handset is Blackberry Curve 8520 [v 4.6.1.272]
Email, contacts and tasks all synchronise wirelessly with handset. Calendar, however, does not. On handset, 3 calendars show: (1) Bramble (my name for Blackberry as we do not have blackberries in Scotland), (2) domain email account and (3) Default. Under Calendar/Options the Bramble calendar says “Yes” at Wireless Synchronisation. The domain email account and default calendars say No at Wirelesss synchronisation but do not allow me to change that. Also, BPS says wireless calendar is enabled.
My question is how do I get my Outlook calendar to synchronise with the handset? Any and all help is much appreciated.

Outlook should not be on the BPS server.
You wil have a CDO mismatch and get wierd sync issues.

Hi, and thanks for replying. I put Outlook 2007 on the server so that I could have out of office running at any time. I am a one man band which cuts down my options a bit. Anyway, if I remove Outlook, is there a way to ensure that I have the correct CDO files after unistall is complete? I have to say that I searched the forums before posting, and though calendar sync seems quite a common problem, I did not see anything that quite matched my situation with BPS 4.1.4 and Exchange 2007 on 64bit Win Server 2003 SP2.

just install the CDO 1.2.1 from here after removing outlook.
Make sure BPS services are turned off before you do it.

OK, I have now uninstalled Outlook 2007 and restarted server. Blackberry Manager had an issue as mapi would not initilalise. I found Exchange MAPI and CDO v 1.2.1, downloaded and installed. This allowed Blackberry edit mapi dialogue and logon to Exchange Server. Restarted Blackberry server.
Current status is CDO.dll file version is 6.5.8131.0. BPS still says wireless calendar is enabled. Handset still says Bramble calendar has wireless sync, but domain email account calendar still says no wireless sync and does not let me change that option.

I was busy drafting my reply and did not see your message. However, I have now corrected the situation by stopping all blackberry services and reinstalling Exchange mapi cdo v 1.2.1. I also did a restart on the server.
Current status is as before: CDO.dll version is 6.5.8131.0; BPS says wireless calendar enabled; Curve 8520 handset Calendar / Options shows bramble calendar has wireless sync but domain email account calendar has no wireless sync at handset and no option to change that.

Did you ever connect to Desktop Manager before and do a wired sync?
Might have to change it back.

Yes. Unsure about whether BPS was a real possibility, I did register my domain email account with BIS and connected USB-tethered to a PC [OS XP Pro SP3) and did a sync with Desktop Manager 5.01 that I downloaded.
I did try to undo that yesterday by reconnecting to that PC intending to delete all calendar databases etc using Backup/Restore, but DM recognised the wireless setup and did not offer me the deletions I was hoping for. I then went to the handset and wiped the entire data and activated from BPS. I left the domain email account registered with BIS. In hindsight, I am wondering if that is something that I should have deleted, or is it still needed with BPS?

Did you install DM for work email? or for personal BIS email?
Might have to uninstall it and reinstall with BES/work email.
Then remove all BIS (was work) that is affecting you.

I initially setup BIS with work domain email, and also 3 or 4 pop3 accounts. I deleted the pop3 accounts leaving only the domain email account on BIS. I can remove that email account from BIS, but I cannot delete the device to clean out the account. I tried to change the device PIN/IMEI to blank but it would not accept that.
My account with my data carrier is only for BIS and I am beginning to think that my carrier's portal to BIS is deliberately setup to prevent me from deleting the device. I know that they offer a BES service at £10/month more than BIS service I am paying for, so maybe it is a commercially driven policy to prevent me from upgrading myself.
If I cannot delete the device from the BIS account, will that compromise a full Enterprise Activation?
