I need some help figuring out what's going on. I've read some posts on various sites and KB articles but nothing has seemed to fit quite right.
Twice now after 2 server reboots all Blackberry users lose their contacts. Restarting the server again along wih a battery pull usually makes the contacts synch back to the devices though.
After the first reboot this message is repeated for different users in the Windows application log: "Unable to save configuration settings or statistics"
BES Express 5.0.2.29 is on Windows server 2003 with Exchange 2003.

contacts in public folders or in teh mail box?
I would apply SP3 as it has many fixes for BES 5.

Thanks for the reply knotty, It's the mailbox contacts.
I upgraded to 5.0.3.41 and over the weekend the contacts cleared from the devices again.

The SQL Browser service is running now but I don't know if it was prior to rebooting the server this morning.
The port being used is 2062. The SQL server is also on the same server with BESX and Exchange.
Side note, some devices need service books resent after a reboot and battery pull. With a few I had to delete their SYNC service book and then resend.

Is it really on a compressed drive or folder?
I would get this fixed ASAP
I hope you id not compress the whole server

There is compression on at least some of the drive. I'm not a fan of drive compression so I'm going to try to un compress everything but right now I'm working on the SQL directory.

Ok, there's no compression on this server now.
Is there anything else that sticks out to you knotty?
