Hi!
I recently installed BES express 5.0 on a windows server 2003 with Exchange 2003 SP2.
I did everything that the administration guide says about file system remote access, mds connection etc...
but I can't find on my device where are those files..
What should I have to do (on the device)?
I just started to work with BES express two weeks ago and I'm totally lost! ![]()
I appreciate your help!

Thanks for answer, this is what I got:
* BlackBerry Enterprise Server 5.x
-> BlackBerry Enterprise Server Express version 5.0 SP3
* Smartphone Firmware 5.x.
-> BB 8520 v5.0.0.900
* MDS Connection Service is activ
I reconfigure this, following these steps:
1.- MDS Connection Service -> edit component -> tab File -> edit component
here I wrote the UNC path like the administration guide says.
/<computer_name> <path_fs> like this:
/test.company.net/docs/
and the user etc.
2.- on the Configuration Sets tab
I entered a name for the Configuration Set and added the file share created earlier.
3.- MDS Connection Service instance -> Component Configuration Sets tab:
I Added the Configuration Set I created earlier and Save All.
After this I Restarted the Instance.
On Smartphone:
Goto Application --> Filemanager --> Type //servername/share (UNC Path)
-> here are only the documents on the sdcard and phone..
I think is a bad configuration of the MDS Connection Service but I have followed all the steps in the administration guide. Any Idea?

Did yoiu give BESAdmin permission to access that shared folder on the server that hosts it?

yes I did it.
All have full control permission...
On my phone I can't see the documents on that folder. I search but nothing...
In a phone with version 6.0 neither do.

Hi!
I can see the remote files on version 6.0!!! but not in 5.0.
The file browser won't let me connect to the server.
version 6.0 have the option "go to" in "Files", but 5.0 don't

Add the remoteusers to local administratores of the BES Server.... than it works. you can test first the access with an admin user which is in the domain-admins group.
