Hi
We are in the process of moving users from a exchange 2003 to exchange 2010.
we also have a old bes 4 server and a new bes express 5.
User X was on bes 4 and exchange 2003... i moved User X to exchange 2010 ( while they were still on bes 4) i wanted to now move this user to bes express 5 so i deleted the user from bes 4 and said yes to clear mailbox stats data but then it said it could not find the mailbox ( i guess as i moved it to exchange 2010) but the user was removed from the bes 4 mmc.
i then wiped the handheld and added the user to bes express 5 and tried a wireless activation which seems to just hang... i checked the users mailbox and i can see the activation e mail in the mailbox but they have not been picked up by blackberry they are just sitting there.
then i checked the MAGT logs for the particular user and i found an entry which said
{0x17FC} {USERX@domain.com} Handled by other server OLD-BES
is there a way to force the system to update so it does not see the user being handled by the old server.
i guess the best practice would have been to delete the user from the old bes before we did the mailbox move?
Thanks

BES 4.x does not work with Exchange 2010.
Best practice is to use transporter to move user to new BES 5 server and then do a Mailbox move to 2010.
I would add back in to the old server, then remove again. Then after 20 minutes to let things settle, move user with transporter.
Have you tested the new BES with at least one new user?
run this test on the affected user on teh new BES server
