Re: Is Pushapi Server down?

Did this just start happening? Based on your other post here:

http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/BlackBerry-Push-Development/Can-not-receive-the-push-message/...

It seems you are able to connect with this URL without error.

Re: Is Pushapi Server down?

I am not sure, when we tried different way to access push server. it returns different error. see "http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/Java-Development/Can-not-register-BIS-push-client-to-server/t...". seems a internal server error.

Re: Is Pushapi Server down?

Does this device have an active BIS data plan?

Based on the error output it looks like your response is being sent back from a proxy server,a re you testing on a simulator by chance?

I noticed a few things from the output code:

1) It seems you are using the 4.3 Push library, though the device being used in 6.0. It may be best to continue using the 5.0 APIs (or the sample code which automatically switches between depending on the OS targeted)

2) The URL forumlated is missing the "serviceid" parameter

hi

1. Yes, we have active BIS data Plan. The operator is China Unicom . Could you please confirm that if we can access "pushapi.eval.blackberry.com" from China or this operator?

2. Could you please give some detail about the testing on simulator?

3. If we try to use 5.0+ SDK.  it also throws below exception. The code we got from Push SDK. And we are using PushLib50.java.

[2012-05-21 11:18:14][DEBUG]Command'register'failed with error:java.lang.Exception:Registration with Push API was rejected by server

Push configure here. Could you please have a try? We have blocked by this issue almost two weeks.

Re: Is Pushapi Server down?

You cannot test BIS Push on a simulator, only a real device will have access to BIS.

Could you confirm whether you are testing on a real device or simulator?

Re: Is Pushapi Server down?

Good question!

We are testing on a real 9800 BB device. and we enabled BIS.
