PushNotificationService::createChannel returning status 10110

I am trying to implement push services into a Cascades app. We do have production credentials.

After calling the PushNotificationService::createChannel the createChannelCompleted is signaled with a status of 10110.

According to the docs this means 'SubscriptionContentNotAvailable' and the app should retry after receiving a pushTransportReady signal. That signal never happens. The phone has Wifi and 3G working.

Re: PushNotificationService::createChannel returning status 10110

Hi,

What are you using for your PPG URL when you do a create channel?

I'm thinking there might be a typo in your URL (e.g. a space, incorrect character, etc.)

Are you using the eval or production environment?

Thanks,

Matt

Re: PushNotificationService::createChannel returning status 10110

I wasn't 100% sure which URL to use, so I tried a couple:

http://cp***.pushapi.na.blackberry.com/  (replacing stars with our CPID)

http://cp***.pushapi.na.blackberry.com/  (replacing stars with our CPID)

http://cpxxx.pushapi.na.blackberry.com/

and

http://pushapi.na.blackberry.com/

(And also all using https)

All yield the same 10110 error.

Re: PushNotificationService::createChannel returning status 10110

So, you registered for a production account then?  You already had an eval account that you've tested with?

There should not be a "/" at the end of your URL.

And, http should be used for creating the channel not https.

If you signed up for an eval account, you will want this URL:

http://cp***.pushapi.eval.blackberry.com

If you are using production:

http://cp***.pushapi.na.blackberry.com

You probably will want to delete the app, restart the device, and reinstall it.  This will allow you to reconfigure it again.

Re: PushNotificationService::createChannel returning status 10110

Thanks Matt.

I wasn't aware that I had to restart the device on every URL change. It is working now!

We are using production credentials from the BB7 version of the app.
